Four-Star All-American Lathan Ransom Commits to Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes have landed one of the premier defensive backs in the nation. Consensus four-star safety, 2020 All-American Bowl commit Lathan Ransom verbally committed to Ohio State University on Tuesday.

Ransom posted the news via his Twitter account.

The final schools in contention for the talented defensive back were; Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma and LSU.

Ransom will be joined future teammates: Paris Johnson Jr., Clark Phillips, Luke Wypler, Gee Scott Jr., Jaxon Smith-Nijgba for the twentieth edition of the All-American Bowl.

Last year, six Ohio State commits played in the All-American Bowl: Zach Harrison, Garrett Wilson, Ronnie Hickman, Harry Miller, Steele Chambers and Enokk Vimahi.

Ransom will play in the annual East vs. West matchup on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 12:00 Noon CST, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
