The official Watch List for the 2020 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award was released on Monday. The award is annually given the nation’s top defensive back.

A total of seven former All-American Bowl athletes were named on the preseason candidates list.

  • Talanoa Hufanga (USC)
  • Derion Kendrick (Clemson)
  • Richard LeCounte (Georgia)
  • Caden Sterns (Texas)
  • Derek Stingley Jr. (LSU)
  • Patrick Surtain (Alabama)
  • Shaun Wade (Ohio State)

In 2018, All-American Bowl alum DeAndre Baker took home the coveted award.

Make sure to watch the twenty first edition of the All-American Bowl, Brown will play in the annual East vs. West matchup on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
