Defensive Lineman Clayton Smith Will be Honored as a 2021 All-American

Defensive Lineman (Texarkana, Texas/ Texas H.S.), the University of Oklahoma commit, will be officially honored tomorrow as a 2021 All-American during a virtual jersey presentation as part of the eleventh episode of the Road to the Dome digital series.

The episode will be released tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports YouTube channel.

The Road to the Dome tour will continue to honor all 100 All-Americans with virtual jersey presentations during a 15-episode series that is released weekly through various digital and social platforms across NBC Sports.

Having been selected to play in the twenty-first edition of the All-American Bowl, Smith will be celebrated as part of a special two-hour “All-American Bowl: Declaration Day presented by GEICO” honoring each of this year’s 100 All-Americans on Saturday January 2, on NBC.

NBC will broadcast the “All-American Dream,” a one-hour special showcasing the All-American Bowl history and highlighting the stories of several players from this year’s All-American Class, on Dec. 6.

Smith was selected by the All-American Bowl Selection Committee, consisting of the All-American Bowl and 247Sports.

Only 100 football players receive the honor of putting on the All-American Bowl jersey each year.

2024 All-American Jaden Reddell Commits to Georgia

Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia have landed one of the top pass catchers in the country. 2024 All-American Jaden Reddell from Raymore-Peculiar High School has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. According to 247Sports, Reddell is a four-star prospect and the No. 4 tight end in the nation.

Past Bulldogs selected to play in the All-American Bowl includes the likes of Brock Bowers, Nick Chubb, and Travon Walker.

Reddell will play in the annual East vs. West matchup inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC and Peacock, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.

Four-Star Carter Nelson Pledges to 2024 All-American Bowl

Carter Nelson (Ainsworth, NE/ Ainsworth High School), the four-star prospect has officially accepted his invitation to the 2024 All-American Bowl. Having been selected to play in the twenty fourth edition of the All-American Bowl, Nelson will play in the annual East vs. West matchup on Saturday, January 6, 2024, in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.

Nelson was selected by the All-American Bowl Selection Committee, consisting of the All-American Bowl, 247Sports and NexGen founder Brent Williams. All-Americans are eligible for the All-American Bowl Player of the Year Award, the Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year Award, the Defensive Player of the Year Award, the All-American Bowl Man of the Year, the All-American Bowl MVP Award.

Only 100 football players receive the honor of wearing the All-American Bowl jersey each year. Each player selected to participate will culminate their high school careers during the 24^th edition of the annual East vs. West matchup. The 2024 All-American Bowl from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, will be presented live on NBC and Peacock.
