Four All-Americans Named to Mackey Award Watch List

Four former All-American Bowl athletes were named to the John Mackey Award watch list.

Friday afternoon the Friends of John Mackey released the watchlist for the 2021 John Mackey Award. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.

Four former All-American Bowl athletes were named to the watch list.

  • Arik Gilbert (Georgia)
  • Michael Mayer (Notre Dame)
  • Jeremy Ruckert (Ohio State)
  • Austin Stogner (Oklahoma)

Watch the annual East vs. West matchup on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The All-American Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
