Coach P.J. Fleck and the University of Minnesota have received a commitment from one of the top playmakers in Georgia. 2023 All-American Kenric Lanier from Decatur High School in Georgia has verbally committed to the Golden Gophers. According to 247Sports, Lanier is a three-star prospect.

Lanier is one of sixteen athletes from the state of Georgia that have been selected for the annual East vs. West matchup inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC and Peacock, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
Only 100 football players receive the honor of putting on the All-American Bowl jersey each year. Each player selected to participate will culminate their high school careers at the All-American Bowl.
